Curtin University is currently conducting a research project in perinatal epidemiology funded by the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) that involves the collaboration with a diverse team of researchers specialised within the disciplines of health administration, data analytics, health economics, epidemiology, biostatistics, and health services research.

**Your new role**

As a Research Associate, you will work effectively and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment on NHMRC-funded projects in our epidemiology research lab. You will use your expertise in statistical analysis and experience in qualitative analysis to contribute to the research output and to lead research in maternal and child health, health services research. You will participate in publishing high-quality journal articles and potential contribution to research governance, including fostering and promoting relationships with professional bodies, industry and affiliated associations, government departments, and the wider community. You will undertake ad-hoc operational and service activities as required. You may be required to communicate research findings and participate in external activities relevant to the discipline and community engagement such as seminars, workshops, and conferences.

**We are looking for someone with.**
- PhD (or close to PhD thesis submission) in epidemiology.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in epidemiology research combined with a high-quality publication track record.
- Ability to undertake quantitative research tasks and contribute to the research outcomes.
- Proficiency in running advanced statistical analysis and expertise in statistical software.
- Experience in conducting data linkage study
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a research team.
- Experience in qualitative study is also desirable.
