Curtin has an exciting opportunity for a Research Assistant to join our Faculty of Health Sciences and provide support in conducting research on mild traumatic brain injury (concussion).
- $77,746 - $85,046 (G05) plus 17% superannuation
- Fixed Term Full-Time (Parental Leave Cover, 1-year Contract)
- Flexible working arrangements in a dynamic and meaningful Research Assistant position.

As a Research Assistant, you will undertake a variety of research support tasks, which may include a mix of administrative, logístical, experimental and technical (where applicable) tasks. In this parental leave cover position, you will work on the MRFF-funded AUS-mTBI Study to predict outcomes and improve the management of people with mild traumatic brain injury (concussion).

In this exciting Research Assistant role, you will (but are not limited to):

- Liaise with hospital, clinic, community and and research staff to maximise recruitment.
- Conduct clinical research assessments.
- Monitor data quality and liaise with relevant stakeholders to convey issues and implement solutions.
- Monitor consumable levels across research sites.
- Undertake Research, Administrative, and Technical Support tasks.

This position sits within the Curtin Faculty of Health Sciences Neuroscience research area, which also focuses on understanding cerebrovascular disorders, preventing the loss of function that occurs following brain injury, and developing insight into how the brain develops. To help us achieve these goals, we are looking for someone with experience in relevant scientific/research methods, techniques and protocols and demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to collate, analyse data, and prioritise tasks.

You will also have:

- Completion of a relevant degree in health or medical sciences, or related fields.
- Demonstrated ability to engage with a range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work flexibly and switch between tasks across a variety of work environments.

Desirable Criteria:

- Previous experience working in clinical environments.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate team tasks and activities.
