**The Role**

As a technical cyber operator, you will be provided with a unique opportunity to undertake challenging and rewarding work. You will conduct technical cyber operations that contribute directly to ASD’s core missions to inform, disrupt and protect. Working under ASD’s legal oversight, you will be given a ‘license to hack’. You may conduct offensive technical cyber operations to disrupt, deny or degrade the computer networks of adversaries, to support military operations and to counter terrorism, cyber espionage and serious cyber-enabled crime.

The Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) is a vital member of Australia’s national security community. We work across the full spectrum of operations required of contemporary signals intelligence and security agencies. This includes intelligence, cyber security and offensive cyber operations in support of the Australian Government and Australian Defence Force (ADF).

- conducting and supporting computer network operations and access
- conducting, supporting and managing offensive cyber operations
- collecting and exploiting target communications
- conducting penetration testing
- analysing communication systems and foreign signals intelligence
- developing new methods of analysing and exploiting data
- investigating large and complex data sets
- undertaking computer forensics
- undertaking vulnerability analysis
- undertaking vulnerability research
- undertaking malware analysis

We will support you with on the job training, and you will attend domestic or international relevant industry courses and conferences to further enhance your skills. **Salary**: $89,921.52 - $102,718.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
