This critical role involves supporting the Group Treasury Banking & Financial Services Aligned team in addressing emerging opportunities and queries that emerge, in relation to the Retail portfolio. This will mean a close collaborative relationship with the BFS Treasury team and leveraging their product and data specific expertise where necessary. The focus is primarily in the regulatory capital domain, but growth opportunities into the liquidity domain are within scope too.

You will be responsible for:

- Working closely with BFS Treasury in driving solutions to emerging questions or queries relating to assumptions and treatments in the regulatory capital domain in relation to Retail products
- Where relevant, extending understanding and insights/ analysis to include liquidity risk where there is overlap with capital e.g. NSFR
- Fostering ongoing collaboration with Group Treasury teams to continue to establish the Group Treasury Aligned team as the main point of contact for BFS topics
- Solving emerging issues using your regulatory understanding and BFS product data and working with relevant SMEs to bring your proposals to life
- Developing a deep understanding of the complexities of the Retail products in the context of capital usage, capital data and related assumptions and treatments.

Previous exposure to Basel capital rules is important, in either a reporting or implementation capacity. An appreciation for governance and rigour in developing analysis is a must as is an appreciation for managing expectations of a wide range of stakeholders.

- have a tertiary qualification, preferably in business, finance, quantitative degree or a similar field
