Own operational ER & IR processes and contribute to transformative policy work for a rapidly growing business with a national presence.
- Drive end-to-end case management and act as an SME on all things IR
- Report into a supportive, experienced P&C Manager with deep expertise in this space
- Full-time, permanent role, flexible working options and travel opportunities

**The Company**

Our client is a market leader who are responsible for refining, importing, and delivering energy to a multitude of industries that are vital to the Australian economy. With a workforce of over 10,000, they’re on an ambitious journey of growth & transformation that is underpinned by some significant investments and acquisitions which will see them consolidate their retail footprint. Recognising the significant responsibility they have in shaping Australia’s future, they are committed to operating and growing in a sustainable, climate-conscious way. As a business, they know that their success is driven by their people and are committed to providing development opportunities and pathways for all of their employees.

**The Leaders**

Operating in a decentralised model, this role supports the supply chain business unit which is dispersed across Australia. You’ll be reporting into a P&C Manager with extensive experience in employee & industrial relations, who is respected across the business for her knowledge sharing capabilities and will closely support you in this role. You’ll have a dotted line to the P&C Lead and form part of a high-performing, solutions focused team.

**The Opportunity**

The core purpose of this role encompasses both operational workplace relations and contribution to the future state of the organisation from a legislative & policy perspective. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- End-to-end case management of all ER matters including grievances, disciplinary and misconduct;
- Preparing for and executing enterprise agreement bargaining, liaising with both key internal stakeholders and unions;
- Providing bespoke, solutions-focused advice on industrial relations and ER matters that is not only legally sound but aligned to business context;
- Consulting and partnering with key people leaders & fostering effective long-term relationships within your business unit;
- Helping to create and deliver training material on policy and procedure updates;
- Managing ill & injured workers and supporting RTW protocols;
- Staying across legislative and IR reforms and leveraging this knowledge in the revision and creation of progressive, contemporary policies.

**About You**

If you are a HR generalist whose been involved in operational ER matters and have a keen interest in expanding your knowledge of all things IR, this role represents an exciting opportunity for you to achieve this.

Setting you up for success will be a foundational knowledge of employment legislation that is complimentary to your strong grasp of core HR functions. Ideally, you’ll have operated in a complex business with multiple EBAs in place and been exposed to the negotiation and bargaining cycle. Also of value would be an understanding of health & safety best practice and experience in managing ill & injured workers.

You’ll have a naturally consultative style and a high level of confidence in how you partner with and provide advice to stakeholders. You’ll be comfortable operating in a fast-paced organisational setting and have the natural drive to work autonomously and navigate grey when required.

Finally, you’ll exhibit a tangible appetite for growth and development and be committed to building and refining your knowledge base of workplace relations

**The Process***

Looking to move quickly, the interview process will likely consist of two stages. Through this, you’ll meet with the P&C Manager for the supply chain business, as well as the organisation’s CPO.
