- Working within the Conducted Energy Device Project, Transit & Public Safety Command located at the Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands. As the CED Program transitions to Business as Usual, this position will sit within the Frontline Technology domain within the Digital Services and Security Department.

The Conducted Energy Device (CED) Project, within the Transit & Public Safety Command is responsible for equipping frontline police and Protective Service Officers (PSOs) with CEDs through a state-wide deployment over a five-year period.
Within the CED Project, is the IT Project Team who is responsible for the Information Technology Enhancements and Network Equipment roll out required for the successful implementation of project scope and delivery of outcomes and benefits; supporting Victoria Police's strategic objectives.
The CED Centralised Project Team is seeking one (1) ICT Product Specialist.
This role will be working in a professional, highly dynamic and established team of ICT services professionals and will be regularly exposed to the various disciplines that Victoria Police operates in.

**Your duties will include**:

- Provide ongoing technical support for CED/Evidence Technology, including troubleshooting, configuration, and software updates
- Auditing of system usage and generating reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Creation and updating of training materials for Support Teams and operational members
- Developing tools, techniques and processes to drive and improve the CED/Evidence Technology and services.
- Provision of specialist technical authoritative advice supporting the management of product strategy, resolution of escalated issues and mitigation of risks, for the CED/Evidence Technology and services.
- Overseeing the implementation of changes, additions and enhancements to the CED /Evidence Technology and services.
- Maintaining skill proficiency, including improvement where deemed necessary, and upgrading any additional or new skills on the appropriate position skills list.

**As the successful applicant, you will have**:

- Proven and demonstrated ICT experience and capability including knowledge and/or experience of cloud-based systems, reporting processes and contract management
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with an ability to prepare well-written, timely, concise, accurate and audience-appropriate project briefings, reports and documents
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline such as information technology or business is highly desirable
- Outstanding stakeholder management expertise, being able to deliver through others and negotiate successful outcomes for difficult situations
- Demonstrated experience at a senior level in the preparation and provision of responsive, clear and concise specialist advice, recommendations and solutions both verbally and in writing through effective research, negotiation and consultation with stakeholders.
- Ability to work autonomously on your own initiative and be self-motivated and driven and have the ability to proactively identify and action issues and opportunities.
- Demonstrated experience and expertise in developing, maintaining and continuously improving ICT products and services in accordance with industry recognised frameworks, standards and systems within a large, highly complex environment.
- Proven ability to monitor client and stakeholder needs and satisfaction, and constructively manage stakeholder issues to ensure positive outcomes for the stakeholder and the Department.
- Training or experience in SAFE, ITIL or COBIT frameworks
- Experience working in an agile and dynamic technology environment
- Knowledge of firearms or equipment management would be desirable
