SMAART Recruitment has once again partnered with one of Australia's leading
**Travel Insurance** companies. They are in an exciting period of growth and are now looking for an experienced Claims Team Manager to establish and lead their new claims team.

As the
**Claims Team Manager** your day to day involves managing the team and supporting them to create an exceptional customer experience. You oversee the claims processes, and deal with complex matters, complaints and escalations.

About the position:

- Full time Permanent Position
- $100,000 - $120,000 + Super + bonus
- Monday - Friday business hours
- Ongoing career opportunities as the business grows
- A supportive and collaborative team that values and helps each other
- After the initial start-up period, this position will become **hybrid**, giving you flexibility to combine work from home and the Sydney CBD office

What we are looking for:

- Relevant **claims, leadership & management** experience
- Knowledge of claims, processes, analysing and reporting
- Prior experience with **travel insurance**, property insurance or accident and health insurance highly regarded
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written are a must
- You are enthusiastic and self-motivated and have a positive and patient approach
- Confidence to judge situations, negotiate and make decisions under tight deadlines
- Personable approach and ability to deal with difficult situations in a professional and empathetic manner
