**About the role**:
The State Operations Manager is accountable for Viva Energy’s Supply Chain Operations in NSW and reports to the General Manager - Distribution.

The Viva Energy operated liquid fuel storage and distribution operations in NSW include Gore Bay Port & Terminal Facility, Gore Bay Pipeline, White Bay Marine, Clyde Terminal (MHF), Parramatta Terminal, Mascot Pipeline and Aviation Into-Plane services at Sydney Airport.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Leads a number of site based operational teams ensuring safe, compliant and efficient liquid fuel storage and distribution operations.
- Champions Goal Zero and Safety First by cultivating a culture of learning. Takes ownership for improving outcomes in health and wellbeing, personal safety, process safety, security (including cyber-security) and environmental management.
- Ensures regulatory “license to operate” obligations are fulfilled, manages operational hazards and risk, and ensures the integrity of the HSSE management system and processes
- Liaises and communicates as necessary with regulators, government authorities, emergency services and the local community regarding ongoing operational activities.
- Provides leadership to improvement initiatives, targeting operational excellence, asset utilisation, organisational structure, facility cost rates and/or customer service.
- Identifies, nurtures and develops talent within the team, committing to diversity and long term capability.
- Leads operational planning for enterprise agreement renewals including input to mandate for executive approval, and negotiates outcomes to agreed plans.

**About You**:
We are looking for someone who has the following attributes;
- Demonstrated operational leadership ability and people management experience
- Ability to work collaboratively with company executives and senior leadership teams to further agreed business strategies.
- Skilled in effective operational change management and implementation of HSSE initiatives.
- Experienced in delivering continuous improvement in business performance, operational excellence and customer service.
- Experience with dangerous goods and/or liquid fuel operations desirable.
