This Directorate is responsible for the ongoing delivery of the City’s sustainability program, as well as contributing heavily to the City of Stirling’s vibrant local economy, liveable neighbourhoods and thriving communities.

**Our Team**

The Parks and Sustainability Business Unit manages a diverse portfolio of parks, urban forest, environmental conservation and sustainability programs and projects. Our Unit consists of teams that plan, design, build, maintain and raise awareness - to create a greener, more sustainable Stirling.

Parks and Sustainability has recently undertaken a review and restructure. As part of the restructure the City created four new Service Leads roles to lead the strategic direction in the following areas:

- Parks and Streetscapes
- Trees and Ecology
- Open Space Design and Projects
- Sustainability and Partnerships

**The Role**

The Service Lead - Park and Streetscapes manages a large team of technical, supervisory and operational crews and contractors to provide over 1,000 parks, reserves and streetscape environments for the enjoyment of our residents and visitors. The unit manages and maintains a wide array of landscape settings - from regional open spaces (such as Scarborough Beach precinct and Dianella Regional Open Space), sportsfields, playgrounds, specialist recreation facilities (skate, BMX and climbing walls), through to landscaped campuses and City properties and precinct streetscapes. The unit is also responsible for the Stirling plant production nursery, and provides important contribution to outdoor special events and functions on City managed parks and reserves.

Ability to lead, consult, innovate and adapt will be highly regarded. Ability to use your management expertise elsewhere within the Business Unit will be favourably received.
