**About the Position**: The City of Stirling is looking for a dynamic individual to join our team as the Coordinator Rates & Receivables. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about creating positive and inclusive outcomes for our community. You will have the chance to take ownership of your work, manage transitions smoothly and advocate for staff, ensuring buy-in and maintaining a positive culture. Develop and test new ideas and deliver excellent results within a culture of learning.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage effective relationships with stakeholders to ensure consistent service quality and efficiency.
- Coordinate the team’s workload and manage staff leave and absences to ensure adequate resourcing during peak periods.
- Lead the administration of the Council’s rates functions, including distribution of notices, responding to enquiries, property valuation adjustments, and administration of pensioner concessions.
- Proactively coordinate and manage debt recovery procedures and administer Council’s Hardship Policy.
- Lead implementation and driving efficiency within a team.
- Accountability for building the best team, with a deep understanding of what leadership requires.
- Focussing their team on the priorities of the City and achieving both short
- and longer-term goals.
- Leader to facilitate effective utilisation of time and resources and enhance their capacity to achieve key objectives.
- Values collaboration and teamwork and focuses on the achievement of team goals.

**About You**: To excel in this role, you should be self-motivated with excellent time management and analytical skills. You should hold a tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, or a related discipline. The ability to problem solve operational issues, with excellent attention to detail, superior communication skills and a collaborative style. Strong team leadership experience, a history of implementing continuous improvements, with a customer service focus are also crucial. This is a hands-on role so you must enjoy working at this level.

**Desired Qualifications and Experience**:

- 4+ years of experience leading and supervising a team.
- Understanding of Local Government Legislation and/or State/Federal Legislation related to Government.
- Experience with Technology One / OneCouncil Property and Rating System is an advantage.
- Effective time management, task prioritisation, and organisational skills.

This permanent full-time position is a Level 9 Inside Workforce Agreement position, offering a salary from **$123,589.72 - $130,096.80** gross pro rata per annum plus superannuation.

**Eligibility Requirements**:

- Australian driving licence.
- National Police Clearance (valid within the last 3 months).
- Pre-Employment Medical and DAS clearance.
- The right to work in Australia.
