The Australian Retailers Association (ARA) is the largest and oldest industry association for retail members. As Australia’s peak retail body, representing more than 120,000 retail shop fronts and online stores, the ARA informs, advocates, educates, protects and unifies their independent, national and international retail community.

**About the person**:
The role requires a personable, proactive, professional, and resilient individual who loves picking up the phone and talking to people. This role would suit an individual who has had previous experience in a role where customer experience and positive outcomes are your main driver. You will have proven experience in a Member Services role within another Association, to be able to understand the membership lifecycle and hit the ground running.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage the membership inbox and phone line, delivering exceptional customer service
- Providing advice and guidance to members and prospective members about ARA products, services, and benefits.
- Developing and maintaining positive relationships with members as well as other internal and external stakeholders.
- Entering and maintaining accurate member data into the ARA’s CRM system, ensuring a high level of accuracy
- Provide support to ARA’s Advisory Committees by setting agendas and coordinating and scheduling quarterly meetings
**To be successful you will have**:
- Experience working in a membership-based organisation, would be highly desirable
- Demonstrated experience in delivering exceptional customer service to a range of members and stakeholders.
- Positive, can-do attitude and enjoy working in a fast-paced but collaborative environment
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to promote a diverse range of products and services
- Highly developed written, oral communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong computer literacy with Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
