The Opportunity
Lead a small team of adept digital marketing specialists, playing an instrumental role in guiding Vocus Consumer’s in-house digital initiatives, ensuring we capitalize on our investments across all channels effectively.
The Dodo and iPrimus brands thrive in the fiercely competitive realms of internet, mobile, and energy services. Within the marketing department, we manage a significant digital media operation internally, with a particular emphasis on paid search and digital affiliates. As a pivotal member of the marketing leadership team, you’ll set the course and strategy for these channels, while also nurturing an environment that embraces and drives innovation.
What you’ll be doing day-to-day
- Lead and manage digital media activities (primarily in paid search and affiliates) across promotional, seasonal, and other activities that align to our overall marketing calendar. Own, lead and drive the program end-to-end including budget forecasting, target setting, guiding creative and ad creation, in-platform execution, measurement, and optimization.
- Lead, manage, engage, and develop a small team of digital marketing specialists to execute on the program of work.
- Work with Ad-Tech & CDP Lead, Digital and BI stakeholders to ensure utilisation of our technology stack to achieve best-in-class targeting, media performance and reporting/measurement/optimisation.
- Foster a culture of innovation and experimentation in the pursuit of driving our business objectives and maximising return on spend.
- Collaborate with the Digital Sales & Service team to ensure a connected journey for demand generation to onsite conversion, linking digital sales and digital marketing.
- Consult where required to assist integrated marketing team in optimization of broader digital media channels, including working with external parties where necessary for channels such as video, social and display.
- Influence stakeholders in our Product/Revenue teams to develop bespoke promotions that suit our affiliate channels and allow us to maintain strong share of voice.
- Work tightly with the Brand & Integrated Marketing team to ensure broader priorities, messages and brand standards are reflected.
- Maintain reporting that provides both high-level and detailed performance tracking, working in with broader digital marketing measurement.
- Create actionable insights and recommendations from detailed search and digital media data that align with business objectives.
**What you’ll bring to this role**:
- Extensive, hands-on experience managing activities, primarily across search and affiliates however with exposure to social, video, and other digital channels.
- Ability to interpret and gain insight from data to determine performance and improve overall media performance.
- Proven leadership qualities, with the ability to recruit, motivate and develop a talented team.
- On the pulse of digital media and marketing trends to inform our program of work
- Experience working collaboratively in an in-house cross-team or agency/client relationship.
- An understanding of the way paid and organic search work together and the ability to drive incremental value through paid activity.
