**The Company**
My client a Fortune 200 company is seeking to appoint a Payroll Lead. We are representing a successful global organisation within the industrial manufacturing and distribution sector that delivers a range of products to the consumer and commercial market. This new position will manage a small team of payroll professionals and will lead the management of the organisations payroll and system enhancements. This is an exciting and challenging role and the perfect next step in your payroll career to manage.
**The Role**
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead the payroll function at our corporate offices in South East Melbourne. Reporting to the Shared Services Manager, the role will be responsible for leading a team of 3 payroll professionals, executing payroll strategy, leading system enhancements and implementations and partnering with the business to deliver payroll services.
**This is a hybrid role offering 2 days a week to work from home.**
Key Responsibilities:
- Coach, lead and provide continuous development of the Payroll Team
- Ensure accurate processing of payroll and meeting required timeframes
- Lead and manage payroll related projects
- Leading the identification, scoping and implementation of system enhancements in partnership with our service provider
- Work closely with senior leadership positions and stakeholders in Finance, Risk, Compliance, and IT, as well as external audit organisations.
- You will be the key contact for internal and external auditors and will manage risks and undertake key control testing, with an ongoing focus on compliance and risk mitigation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant payroll legislation, industrial agreements, legislation, and policy requirements, including ability to interpret and work across multiples EBA's
The role will focus on system administration, testing and implementation of system enhancements and leading a team of payroll professionals.
To be successful for the role, you must demonstrate the following:
- Previous experience leading a high performing payroll team
- High level interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple stakeholder groups
- Results orientated, with the ability to prioritise rapidly, and strong problem solving and decision-making skills
- Experience in leading, coaching and developing a team
