About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced Payroll Operations Lead to join our team at ThompsonCook. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of payroll processes and procedures, with a proven track record of managing high-volume payroll environments.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire payroll process from onboarding through to terminations, including month-end responsibilities, compliance, and reporting.
- Lead and oversee a payroll team, supporting training and development of team members.
- Deliver compliant and accurate fortnightly and monthly payrolls for over 1,600 staff.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless payroll operations.
- Ensure all legislative requirements are met, including PAYG, Payroll Tax, Superannuation, and WorkCover.
- Maintain leave balances and interpret and apply awards and contracts.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
10+ years' experience in end-to-end payroll management.Proven experience managing a small to medium-sized payroll team.Exposure to high-volume/fast-paced payroll environments.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Experience with larger ERP/Payroll systems.A willingness to start work without notice (advantageous).What We Offer:
