Randstad has partnered with Hydro Tasmania for an exciting opportunity to join the renewable energy industry for a Mechanical Drafting Officer.
The recruitment of this position constitutes part of the Randstad Recruitable Hydro Tasmania Pilot and is open only to applicants with disability. **About the Team**
An exciting opportunity has become available to work within the Engineering team as a Mechanical Drafting Officer on a full or part time permanent basis. This is a great opportunity to kick start your career within Hydro Tasmania.
**About the role**
As a Mechanical Drafter, you will have the ability to work on a variety of capital upgrade projects within part of the Hydro Tasmania asset portfolio as well as support with ongoing Maintenance and Operations teams. The Mechanical Drafting Officer is responsible for providing accurate detailed designs within project scope definition, timeline and budget.
- Prepare and revise technical drawings for capital work upgrades
- Provide a high level of attention to detail with drawings being produced
- Confident in using a variety of CAD software packages to complete detailed design drawings, previous experience with Autodesk software favourable.

**About you**
- Diploma or Advanced Diploma of Engineering (Design or Drafting) or equivalent
- Technical background in similar fields (fitter, machinist, boilermaker etc.)
- Basic knowledge of engineering drawings and understanding of Australian Standards
- Strong communication skills
