**Salary range $83,603 - $102,822 plus super**

**About You**:
A diploma in Mechanical Design and drafting (or equivalent experience; highly desirable to have a Bachelor of Technology) along with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role is vital to your success in this role. Your experience will include;
- Confident in using a variety of CAD software packages to complete detailed design drawings, previous experience with Autodesk software would be favourable
- Technical background in similar field (fitter, machinist, boilermaker etc.)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work in a team environment
- Willingness to learn and adapt in exciting team
- AutoDesk, SolidWorks and end to end experience in the design, drafting and construction of mechanical components highly desirable but not essential
- Work in mechanical fabrication or construction environment as well as P&ID design and development desirable but not essential

**About the role**:
As a Mechanical Design and Drafting Officer, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of capital upgrade and modernisation projects within the Hydro Tasmania asset portfolio as well as provision of ongoing support to the Maintenance and Operations teams. You’ll have access to the latest design, 3D scanning and visualisation technologies whilst working in an awesome and supportive team environment. The Mechanical Design and Drafting Officer is responsible for providing accurate detailed designs within project scope definition, timeline and budget, as well as activities including digital asset creation, 3D Lidar scanning and precision metrology
