**About our opportunity**:
We are seeking experienced Data Centre Technician to join our Sydney team

**The duties include, but are not limited to**:

- Extracting and inputting of data into a computer based operating system.
- Installation, testing and commissioning of fibre optic and copper cabling infrastructure.
- Installation of enterprise IT and computer equipment, including server cabinets & racks, servers, networking equipment, routers, switches, cable management.
- Installation and looming of patch cabling for switches, servers, storage arrays and other ICT equipment.
- Decommissioning of ICT equipment, provisioning and cross-connects.
- Installation of cable containment including cable baskets/trays, ducting & fibre duct.
- Actively contributing your technical experience within a team of professional, skilled, installation technicians
- Liaising with Company clients
- Contributing to the maintenance of a safe working environment
- Mentor and train apprentices.

**What you will need to have as a minimum**:

- Have experience working in Data Centres/ Telecommunications industry, small scale projects and fitouts and have fibre optic experience.
- Hold a current Cabling Licence with endorsements of Structured and Fibre Optics.
- Can work as part of a team or independently.
- Are proactive and have problem solving attributes.
- Are willing to be part of an on-call roster.
- Have excellent safety awareness and meticulous attention to detail, to maintain a high standard of workmanship.

**You must hold your cabling (ACMA) license to apply.**

Due to the nature of the work, you must be eligible to obtain baseline/NV1 security clearance.
