**THE ROLE**

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual with a background in maintenance or horticulture to join our expanding new site based in Pakenham. As the Maintenance & Projects Assistant you will play an integral role in ensuring our site’s preventative maintenance programs are coordinated according to plans as well as supporting site management in the timely execution of capital projects. Your key responsibilities will include:

- Assisting in the execution of field preparation plans including set up and operation of equipment and machinery for spraying, de-weeding, fumigation, harvesting, and cultivating.
- Implementing effective preventative maintenance (PM) programs to ensure optimal utilisation of all equipment and machinery and reduction in breakdowns.
- Assisting in the coordination of labour and resourcing planning as per project plans.
- Monitoring project activities and deliverables ensuring regular oversight and supervision to ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Provide daily and weekly project update reports to the site Management team and Project Managers.
- Ensuring all site maintenance activities are conducted safely and in compliance with site safety protocols.

**SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**

- Previous experience in a similar role within the agricultural/horticultural sector, maintenance/projects
- Have an enthusiastic and a can-do attitude
- Full working rights preferred
- Driver’s licence, forklift licence, tractor driving experience is essential
- Solid communication skills (verbal and written)
