**The opportunity**
The North Service Centre (NSC)Claims & Insurance Manager is responsible for the effective management, recording and outcomes of Disability and Death claims, and Death, TPD and Salary Continuance insurance. across all North products as well as the training and development of the NSC Claims Processors within the team. Further, to work collaboratively across the wider AMP teams providing reporting and insights to improve the overall customer experience.
**How you will make an impact**
- Effectively lead and manage the team to initiate, administrate and finalise claims for death and disability by providing exceptional customer service which exceeds the expectations of North’s customers.
- Maintain claims and insurance governance and assurance for North teams by being aware of the Insurance in Super Voluntary Code of Practice, Insurance and Claims Standards and SPS250 reporting for claims management.
- Ensure accurate recording and maintenance of the customer information relevant to the resolution of claims.
- Active development and ongoing improvement of case management standards, quality assurance and the level of service delivered to stakeholders.
- Deliver recommendations to internal stakeholders for any improvements to systems, processes or products that have been identified during the claims process.
- Ensure claims and insurance administration items are resolved within the agreed service and quality standards and that all compliance obligations are met and all delegations adhered to.
- Actively manage and foster a collaborative relationship with your internal and external stakeholders including Trustee Services, Resolution Life, other external insurers, Enterprise Risk Management, external auditors, AMP Legal and other business areas within North and AMP Australia.
**What you will bring to the role**
- 5+ years leading people and working across a fast paced, client service orientated team environment.
- Ability to drive a collaborative and high-performance culture within a team.
- Competent understanding and experience of wealth management and end to end business operations
- Understanding of competitors propositions and Superannuation/Investment industry trends, as they relate to the wealth management, in particular platforms environment.
- Understanding of the regulatory and compliance regime for financial services.
