**The Role**
Defence Signals Intelligence and Cyber Command (DSCC) is seeking a highly motivated Administration Officer (AO) to provide support to the Command to perform complex procedural, administrative and business processes. The AO is employed within Headquarters DSCC (HQ DSCC), and reports to the Personal Manager (J1).
As the HQ DSCC AO, you will assist the Personal Manager (J1) with a diverse range of administrative tasks which includes but is not limited to business management, personnel administration and policy advice to commanders.
To be successful in the role, you will require comprehensive knowledge and understanding of administrative and business (including basic finance) practices and processes. While not essential, knowledge of Defence processes is highly desirable.
Further, a condition of employment as the HQ DSCC AO, you must also be able to gain and maintain a Positive Vetting security clearance and an Australian Signals Directorate Occupation Suitability Assessment at all times.
**About our Team**
Defence Signals Intelligence and Cyber Command (DSCC) commands and administers ADF signals intelligence and cyber professionals made available for employment within the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) integrated workforce.
Headquarters DSCC (HQ DSCC) is a small team which provides the overarching higher command function to the military units working within ASD. HQ DSCC develops Command level policies, frameworks and practices and is responsible for the oversight and provision of advice and guidance to Command on broader Defence personnel and workforce issues, information management, business and financial policy and frameworks.
- Exemplary levels of personal integrity, sensitivity, confidentiality and discretion with credibility;
- Highly developed interpersonal skills to liaise, collaborate, and build productive stakeholder relationships across reporting lines, including engaging with senior executive;
- Highly developed communication skills (both verbal and written) and utilise both to develop written procedures;
- Experience in a diverse range of administrative tasks including processing of administrative documents, travel and budget management, as well as the ability to provide advice to command as it relates to personnel issues and complex administration tasks;
- The ability to produce quality work within short timeframes and with competing priorities;
- The ability to research and analyse information to identify and address risks, and recommend viable solutions and prevention strategies;
- Provide support and assist with the updating of the DSCC Intranet and SharePoint sites and promulgation of information on behalf of the Command.
