- **Payroll Specialist, **you will be responsible for the payroll process for our EMEA countries, including controls, inputs & outputs, working closely with the other Payroll Specialists, the Finance Manager and HR Ops team. As we continue to automate key financial processes, there will be an opportunity to be involved in multiple projects and initiatives. - Ownership of the payroll & compliance processes for our employees for our EMEA entities (Germany, United Kingdom & Czech Republic) with the support of our other Payroll Specialists
- You will prepare the monthly payroll analytics, becoming familiar with all the various drivers of payroll variances and will learn to spot outliers and unexpected differences for escalation.
- Be part of the continuous improvement of processes & controls in this space.
- Familiarising yourself with the payroll integration between our HR platform and our Payroll platforms, you will assist with ensuring the timeliness, accuracy and completeness of data with the support of our Payroll Systems analyst
- Work closely with other Payroll Specialists & Systems Specialists to support the implementation of our Global Payroll Provider.
- Work closely with other Payroll Specialists & Systems Specialists to support the set up of new payrolls.

**You're probably a match if you have**:

- At least 3+ years of relevant payroll experience in EMEA
- Understanding of EMEA payroll & compliance complexities
- Experience dealing with large volumes of data
- Intermediate to advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills
- Aptitude for using systems and technology
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
- A keen eye for detail and analytical skills
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Self motivated with a desire to learn
- Highly organised with the ability to work under pressure and within set deadlinesMaturity to handle confidential information

**About the team
- Canva’s Payroll team is part of the Finance & Legal Group and is predominantly based in Australia, the Philippines and growing teams in EMEA & the United States. We manage payroll across our growing number of Canvanauts worldwide. Our headcount is growing quickly as we continue to scale the business with the finance team alone forecast to double in size in the next year. Our headcount growth comes from Canva entities, as well as through any companies that we acquire globally.- With payroll being one of the most critical functions in Finance, the team has a huge part to play in making Canva one of the best places to work. We strive to ensure every Canvanaut is paid correctly and on time.
