**About the Opportunity**

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join **Surgical Services** as a** Surgical Services Ward Clerk, **where you will be responsible for:

- Provide a comprehensive, confidential administrative service to the Surgical Wards.
- Coordinate patient admissions.
- Facilitate equipment and stationery ordering.
- Book patient follow-up appointments.
- Provide administrative support to the Nursing Unit Ward Managers and other professional staff members as directed by the Administrative Manager, Surgical Services.
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team contributing to the service excellence provided to WCHN facility users, including staff, patients, and students.

**About You**

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Effective interpersonal and customer service skills
- Demonstrated initiative and good organisational skills, ability to set priorities, work under pressure and undertake some problem solving with limited assistance
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Experience in an administration type role
