**About the role**:
An exciting opportunity is now available for a highly commercial and strategic Finance Buiness Partner to join our team. You will understand how to manage many stakeholder dynamics and be a trusted partner to the Head of the Project team. This is a unique opportunity with exposure to a large amount of work streams across a true start-up venture within the Coles Group.

Supporting and leading a team, you will be a passionate and accomplished Finance Business Partner with a strong background and experience in - autonomously leading the finance function and leading the planning processes (budget and 5-year strategic plan), including communicating clear assumptions & targets, challenging submissions and identifying synergies. Ensuring business stakeholders own the financial plan and activities required to deliver it. You will be responsible for helping to build a new business from the ground - up

**About this role**

Responsible for financial processes and standards, budgeting, forecasting and tracking, strategic planning, managing external finance and accounting support partners, establishing people policies and renumeration

This is a newly created role due to the creation of a new venture/ business within the Coles Group and if this role excites you and you have the passion, drive and background to match the key criteria for this role, please submit your resume asap.

**About this role**

You will work with a number of internal and external stakeholders including: the Project lead; Digital; Marketing; other Finance team members; Product owner; Coles Legal; Coles Company Sec; Coles Finance Coles Compliance / Legal; Coles HR and also all external providers

**To be considered for this strategic role you will**:

- 5+ 7 years financial support experience with at least 2 years of senior leadership responsibility
- Proven track record of managing finance teams and producing appropriate financial analysis
- Knowledge of all components of a typical financial support function
- Understanding of merchandise customer data and experience in presenting sales and customer data.
- Experience in a fast-paced corporate venture or start-up
- Experience working within an ASX listed or complex organisation - with overseas retail/FMCG experience highly regarded
- Proven management and leadership skills with a strong emphasis on interpersonal skills.
- Ability to actively challenge accountable managers on performance on business results
- Highly effective verbal and excellent written communication skills
- Proven capability of facilitating the development of departmental initiatives linked to business objectives.
- Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. Accounting, Finance or Management)
- MBA, ACCA/CPA, Institute of Accountants
- Strong technical and analytical skills
- Exceptional communication, interaction, planning and organisation skills
- Strong passion for delivering the best for customers
- Ability to work autonomously and in a flat, fast moving environment
- Entrepreneurial mindset
