The AWS Enterprise Support Field Operations team for Global Verticals, Strategic, and AMER Public Sector is looking for a smart, enthusiastic, and creative thought leader with a strong background in business operations and supporting field organizations. You will be responsible for ensuring that Enterprise Support meets it business objectives and goals, while tirelessly championing the needs of our customers focused on operational excellence.

We are looking for a senior leader who will partner with Line of Business (LOB) leadership to own the P&L, dive deep and analyze the business, lead strategic planning, and leverage their depth of operations experience to drive the efficiency, effectiveness, and business performance of field teams all while enabling the business to maintain a best in class customer and employee experience. This role with hold a variety of responsibilities ranging from day-to-day business operations to driving strategic planning activities for a segment of the business to leading initiatives focused on process improvement and organization efficiency.

Key job responsibilities
- Own P&L in partnership with Line of Business leadership: accurately plan, forecast, and execute on the monthly, quarterly, yearly objectives
- Define and lead area’s rhythm of business
- Act as Single Point of Contact for the Line of Business
- Drive operational optimization and efficiency while maintaining the ideal customer and employee experience
- Define and lead business performance inspection mechanisms. Own escalations and raise operational concerns.
- Ideate and lead initiatives focused on driving business performance, efficiency, and effectiveness of field teams
- Drive strategic planning for one or multiple areas supported the Field Operations team
- Own communication with business stakeholders, finance, and recruiting regarding planning and execution within scope
- Drive business performance by tracking performance and attainment of objectives and goals.
- Define and continuously drive education of strategic and operational metrics and showcase how operational decisions can impact customer experience.
- Curiosity to dig several layers deep into metrics, have an innate desire to understand key drivers and whether they are the correct or best metrics to measure/manage a business or process - Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results - Experience managing people, including geographically dispersed teams - Experience building forecasting models - SQL query skills required - Scripting skill Acknowledgement of country: In the spirit of reconciliation Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
