We are seeking an exceptional Commissioning Manager to join our Commissioning organization in Australia New Zealand. As a sub-regional Commissioning Manager, you will lead a fast-moving team of commissioning professionals delivering data center capacity to support Amazon's growth in ANZ.
Key Responsibilities- Owning the challenges in ensuring the quality and reliability of electrical and mechanical systems for our customers.
- Thinking broadly and strategically in setting visions and prioritizing the commissioning program aligned with goals of the larger organization.
- Leading a team of commissioning engineers, with broad responsibilities to hire, build a high-performing team and lead the safety culture by example.
- Developing and managing quality-focused initiatives, managing and analyzing metrics to drive innovation and continuous improvements.
- Communicating and providing guidance to Finance during capital budgeting, making data-driven decisions to deliver predictable cost estimations.
- Creating standards and building consensus with a broad spectrum of stakeholders on cross-functional teams that will operate to deliver on the quality policy.
You will have an APJC and global presence, which will include 15% traveling to sites located in-country, across APJC and globally. As a leader, you will provide clear communication and vision for the business. You will own a systemized commissioning approach and be accountable for your team's compliance with commissioning procedures, quality, environmental, safety practices, policies, and procedures.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Controls Engineering or a relevant discipline.
- 5+ years' experience in any one of the following areas: Commissioning; Mechanical/Electrical/Controls Design; Construction Project Management; Control System installation or maintenance; HVAC testing and balancing; Facilities operations and/or maintenance.
- 3+ years' experience in people management: hiring; organizational planning; building a team; performance management; mentoring; coaching.
- 3+ years' experience with goal setting and metrics development, business case analysis to justify project scope and financial position for management review.
- 5+ years' experience in delivering mission critical/complex infrastructures in either mechanical/electrical/controls systems.
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical or control systems.
