**About the role**:
The Victoria Police Medical Advisory Unit provides expert occupational health services and advice to support the operational and recruitment activities of Victoria Police. The area is a multi-disciplinary team currently consisting of Doctors, Nurses, Psychologists, Administrative staff and Sworn Police.

**The main duties of the Medical Advisory Unit are**:

- Directions to Attend (DTA) the Police Medical Officer (fitness for duty assessments).
- Drug and alcohol testing.
- Medical Advice Line.
- Recruitment and Specialist Group medicals.
- Psychological assessments and interviews for Police, PSO and PCO applicants.

**Your duties will include**:

- Administrative functions across all streams managed by the Medical Advisory Unit and Drug and Alcohol Testing Unit.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
- Reporting on and supporting processes across the portfolio.
- Supporting the Police Medical Officers, Nurses, Psychologists and Management team in a range of functions and following up on medical reports, scheduling and appointments.
- Contract Management and project work.
- Supporting the Drug and Alcohol Testing Unit and where required performing Drug and alcohol tests.

**As the successful applicant, you will have**:

- Exceptional Communication skills.
- The ability to think on your feet and work both autonomously and part of a team.
- Highly developed Administration skills.

**Requirements and relevant information**:

- One (1) full time, fixed term until 30/12/2024 position available.
- Experience in a clinical environment is highly desirable.
- The successful applicants will be required to undertake training to be able to perform Drug and Alcohol testing.
- Position will be located at the Victoria Police Centre (VPC), 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
- Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
