**About the role**

The position’s incumbent is a member of the Executive and Campus Operations Management Team and make a major contribution to the development, implementation and efficiency of the Medical Imaging Service at The Queen Elizabeth and Lyell McEwin Hospital’s campus

Direct Reports:

- The Campus Operations manager - Nuclear Medicine, works with professional independence and is responsible to the Campus Clinical Head - Nuclear Medicine TQEH/LMH, for all operational matters.
- They are also required to report to the SAMI Executive as part of the SAMI Executive Management Team.
- There is a requirement to maintain close working relationships with other members of the Campus Operations Management Team, as well as key senior level staff in SAMI, at the hospital campus, in SA Health, in other government agencies and in key stakeholder organisations (where required by Campus Operations Management responsibilities).

The role includes the provision of statewide services such as PET, Statewide Targeted Therapy Program, Bone Mineral Density, Haematology studies and a wide range of other radionuclide therapies.

Mandatory Requirements include:

- Significant experience at a senior level in a medical imaging team.
- Demonstrated experience at a senior management level that includes management of multi-disciplinary functions (e.g. financial, human resources, administration, minor works, information technology etc).

**Qualifications**:

- Appropriate Degree in Medical Radiation or its equivalent qualification, which entitles registration as a Medical Radiation Practitioner Nuclear Medicine Technologist with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia (MRPB)
- Statement of Registration from Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).- Licence to use or handling of radioactive material pursuant to Section 23 of the Radiation Protection and Control Act, SA 2021
- Licence to operate radiation apparatus pursuant to Section 24 of the Radiation Protection and Control Act, SA 2021 (Operation of computed tomography apparatus for the purpose of Nuclear Medicine)
