The Victorian Indigenous Research Centre (VIRC), an initiative at State library Victoria, works to provide a culturally appropriate space for Victoria's indigenous community to access and connect with cultural heritage collections and family history.

**About the opportunity**

The **Victorian Indigenous Research Centre** is looking for a dedicated individual who is passionate about_ _contributing to the provision of culturally appropriate spaces and services to Victoria's Indigenous population and who is enthusiastic about working with cultural heritage collections and amplifying Indigenous voices.

As the VIRC **Support Officer **(pay rate at VPS 2.1), you will provide customer service and assistance to users of the Centre, and administrative support to Centre staff responsible for the development and delivery of its programs, projects and special initiatives including its Cultural Permissions Program. This is a great opportunity for an administrative professional who prides themself on providing excellent and personable support, customer service and assistance.
