THE ROLE

The Student Engagement Assistant provides support and administration for events and student initiatives to the Graduations and 1st Year Experience teams.

Key Accountabilities- Provide administrative and event support across all major student events including graduation and orientation programs and support student group queries and requests, escalating issues as required.- Liaise regularly with student groups to assist with the effective running of the group and escalating issues as required.- Support the organisation and execution of student events and student group activities- Check event submissions to ensure all standard requirements have been met, including risk assessments.- Assist with the review of student group’s funding and funding requests.- Assist with event set up and coordination including catering; booking rooms; arranging equipment and taking attendance numbers down for record keeping purposes.- Liaise with Group Marketing to promote relevant student events through the University social media and online channels.- Provide general guidance and advice on event design and execution
