Position Summary**:
As a subsidiary of Orbis Technologies, Inc., Turn-Key Systems Pty Limited, provides industry-leading Enterprise Content Management System products and services to a global client portfolio. Turn-Key has been developing software for the publishing industry for more than 20 years. This position will support the development of the Top Leaf product; our professional DITA and XML publishing system that combines a powerful rendering engine with a stylesheet development toolkit, allowing the quick set up of complex document styles.
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Code, test, debug, validate, implement, and document Turn-Key Systems’ core software.
- Design basic solutions or enhancements to existing software to meet the needs of the client and/or end-user.
- Evaluate client requirements for designing and implementing solutions.
- Contribute to quality improvement and code reviews to maintain existing software performance.
- Integrate software components into a fully functional software system.
- Assist in the completion of unit testing by preparing test data, running tests and evaluating results
- Develop test plans to verify logic of new or modified software.
- Provide completion estimates of his/her tasks for project scheduling purposes.
- Follow coding standards and naming conventions.
- Keep current with latest software development tools and techniques.
- Work closely with our senior developers, peers, etc. to conduct routine quality assurance activities
- Resolve software defects and tickets.
- Take part in decisions affecting long range organizational goals & strategic planning.
**Required Experience**: Mandatory Requirements & Qualifications**:
- Bachelor of Science in a technical discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Computer Engineering) from an accredited college or university.
- Be able to work legally, with no restriction on hours. (No sponsorship is provided)
- 1 to 2 years of software development experience in:
- Programming with object-oriented and/or declarative languages (Java and C++ preferred)
- Developing RESTful Web Services
- Developing web-based solutions using HTML, CSS, JavaScript/Typescript frameworks (e.g. Angular6+, Ember.js, or equivalent), J2EE and JSON
- XML technologies (XSL, XQuery, XPath, etc.)
- Working with scripting languages, such as Perl, Groovy, and JavaScript
- Using modern software configuration management tools in an automated build environment (e.g., Ant, Maven, SVN, Git, bash scripts, etc.)
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
