**The opportunity**:
We are seeking a dedicated Study Coordinator to join our esteemed research team and contribute to ground-breaking gene therapy clinical trials. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for the delivery of direct and indirect clinical trial-related care, as well as associated data collection for concurrent clinical trial research studies in our department.

Your role as a Study Coordinator will be specific to gene therapy, ensuring compliance with the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) Note for Guidance on Good Clinical Practice, the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research, and applicable state/federal privacy laws.

With a strong focus on patient care, you will partner with our multidisciplinary and research teams to ensure the highest standard of care is provided to all patients participating in clinical trials, along with their families. Maintaining ethics and research governance will be a key aspect of your responsibilities. Specifically, your role will be dedicated to new trials within the Bone Marrow Transplant unit.

This role is offered on a 12 month part time contract at 2 days per week.

**Note**: The Study Coordinator role requires the necessary qualifications and experience within the Children's Cancer Centre.

**Your responsibilities include**:
Organise and manage gene therapy study for immunocompromised patients.
Participates in training and education to improve knowledge, follows guidelines and uses evidence based practice
Conduct clinical research in accordance with TGA ICH GCP, the NHMRC National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research and relevant state/federal privacy laws
In conjunction with medical staff, analyse and assess each patient’s condition according to the trial protocol and determine appropriate action to ensure the patient’s future care and participation in the study

About you

Degree/Honours qualification in Science or related discipline
Appropriate level of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training or professional accreditation
Experience in participating in the planning and coordination of projects
Demonstrated experience in data and database management, data collection and analysis
Confident in the planning and conduct of research projects
