The Workforce Planning Manager is responsible for creating, implementing and driving a strategic approach to workforce planning across DFR, considering the current state and strategically planning for the future horizon of the ADF, in partnership with the services and the Commonwealth.

Lead the development of workforce planning strategies including the provision of workforce analytics and reporting to improve performance, address workforce challenges, facilitate staff mobility and support business decision making.

**Description**

As our Workforce Planning Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

- Identify, create and implement strategy to proactively support the future workforce needs of DFR in response to the ADF's targets and goals.
- Establish and communicate a national, strategic approach to Workforce Planning, including requirements around key stakeholder engagement.
- Work closely with the services to understand strategic priorities and growth trajectories, understanding the impact on targets and the required recruitment support to achieve this.
- Collaborate with function leads to strategically plan for the future ADF requirements, determining recruitment resource requirements, technology capability, and wider workforce support to enable success for DFR.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the current recruitment objectives for DFR, working closely with the Workforce Delivery team, so that strategic plans for future workforce planning consider transition from the current state.
- Analyse and assess future ADF horizon for growth, building workforce plans to support this.
- Make accurate recommendations on workforce planning actions to Adecco and the CoA.
- Lead a high performing team of Workforce Planning Analysts and Reporters to enable success for DFR now and into the future.
- Lead, coach, and develop leads to ensure delivery excellence and exceptional management performance.
- Develop leadership capability, ensuring a strong talent pipeline is maintained for key roles.
- Develop, manage and maintain a high service level client relationship through the provision of services that meet or exceed the expectations of Defence and the DFR Adecco contract, further encouraging a strong and ongoing relationship between Adecco and the Commonwealth of Australia.
