- Reference We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Customer Service/Internal Sales Representative at our national timber company located Meadowbrook, Brisbane As a crucial member of our sales department, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales growth. Your primary responsibility will be to provide support to our valued customers, handle inquiries, process orders, and contribute to achieving our sales targets.
**Responsibilities**:
**Customer Support**:
Assist customers in selecting appropriate timber products, providing accurate information, and offering expert advice on product features, pricing, and availability.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Resolve customer complaints and issues efficiently and in a timely manner, escalating complex problems to the appropriate department when necessary.
**Internal Sales**:
- Actively engage in sales activities to meet or exceed assigned sales targets and contribute to the company's revenue growth.
Proactively contact existing and potential customers to generate sales leads and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
Prepare and submit accurate sales quotations, proposals, and contracts to customers.
Collaborate closely with the sales team, providing sales support and assisting with sales strategies and initiatives.
Update and maintain customer records, sales pipelines, and other relevant sales documentation in the company's CRM system.
**Product Knowledge and Technical Expertise**:
Stay up to date with industry trends, market developments, and competitor offerings to effectively communicate the value of our products to customers.
Continuously expand your knowledge of timber-related regulations, certifications, and environmental standards to provide accurate information and guidance to customers.
**Team Collaboration**:
- Collaborate closely with other internal departments, such as logistics, procurement, and finance, to ensure smooth order processing, timely delivery, and accurate invoicing.
Communicate customer feedback, market insights, and potential improvement opportunities to relevant stakeholders to enhance the overall customer experience and contribute to the company's growth.
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience in a customer service or sales role, preferably within the timber, construction, or building materials industry.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with customers and internal teams.
Strong problem-solving abilities to address customer concerns effectively.
Proven sales track record and the ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
Solid organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate order processing and documentation.
Knowledge of timber products, construction terminology, and industry regulations is advantageous.
Proficiency in using CRM systems and other sales-related software.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
A positive attitude, resilience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
