The roles, responsibilities and duties of a Security Officer can be performed in many different sectors and varying roles. About the role

The position is primarily responsible for providing a security presence whilst remaining alert and focused. You will be part of an enthusiastic, committed and customer focused team. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all our customers, and you will build strong relationships with your internal stakeholders. Duties include but are not limited to:

- Managing and maintaining the site Database
- Assisting with rostering of personnel at site
- Weekly reports to be compiled and sent to the On-Site Representative
- Maintaining up to date Site Standing Orders and communicating changes of policy and procedures and operating requirements
- Ensuring site training requirements are kept up to date with HSE and HR policies through ongoing training and re-supply of information
- Ensuring all staff are inducted and trained appropriately for the site and hold all relevant up to date licenses and certifications and appropriate records are kept as such
- Ensuring that all incidents are reported through the correct channels and the appropriate actions are taken (more HSE related)
- Ensuring weekly and / or monthly KPIs are achieved and reported
- Providing detailed KPI reports as required
- Managing and addressing employee related matters in line with MSS Security policies and procedures
- Attending meetings with site stakeholders as required
- Performing all duties as directed by MSS management
- Ensuring all incidents are reported through the correct channels and incident investigations are conducted with any action items identified from the investigation process being followed up in line with Company procedures
- Overseeing and / or completing safe work method statements, site risk assessments and workplace inspections in accordance with Company policies and procedures and legislative requirements.
- Any additional duties as requested by Management

Skills & experience
- 12 Months Security Industry Experience
- Certificate II in Security Operations and security licence
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate
- Open driver's license
- High level computer literacy skills
- The ability to work with mínimal supervision and within a team environment
- Integrity and sound judgment
- Minimum of NV1 Australian Government Security Clearance
- Master licence - 17501687
