The roles, responsibilities and duties of a Security Officer can be performed in many different sectors and varying roles. This Position Description outlines the general duties in line with specific role types and acts as a guide rather than a comprehensive list of tasks.- Permanent Full-Time positions- 24/7 Rotating Roster available
- Level 1 - 5 + penalties + overtime

About the role

The position is primarily responsible for providing a security presence whilst remaining alert and focused. You will be part of an enthusiastic, committed and customer focused team. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all our customers, and you will build strong relationships with your internal stakeholders. Duties include but are not limited to:

- Concierge / commercial building security
- Access control and monitor CCTV
- Respond professionally, courteously and promptly to all customer enquiries
- Direct and escort visitors to site
- Visitor sign in/induction and maintain key registers and issue keys
- Conduct foot patrols internal and external

Skills & experience
- Certificate II in Security Operations and security licence
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate
- Open driver's license
- Customer service experience
- Dedication, reliability and a commitment to security
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Immunisation history or willing to obtain necessary vaccinations
- Australian Government Security Clearance or ability to obtain one
