**About the Opportunity**

New 12-month Fixed Term Contract opportunity based in Henderson, WA. Reporting to the Security Manager, your role will contribute to the effective compliance of all processes, systems and measures concerning the physical site security and the security of classified materials.

**Responsibilities**
- Administrative tasks aligned to meeting contractual Defence obligations and mandated compliance requirements;
- Processing and issuing a variety of security access passes;
- Data entry, reporting and extensive use of Microsoft Office Suite;
- Working closely with the Security team to develop security plans and undertake risk assessments and;
- Validation of employee security clearances associated with the issue of Controlled Technology permissions.
- Liaising with external agencies such as DoSA, SIC and NSSG in the case of security breaches;
- Aiding in the day to day planning and coordination of protective security functions including physical, personnel and information security for ASC West;
- Supporting the management of access control and the facility alarm system;
- Assisting in the management of classified items in accordance with ASC and Commonwealth Policy;
- Supporting and educating custodians in the conduct of classified musters, audits and investigations
- **This role requires a current National Police Clearance and requirement to secure an Australian Defence Security Clearance (NV1)**

**Skills & Experiences**
- A minimum of 5+ years in an administrative role,
- Ability to work unsupervised,
- High level of attention to detail and pro-active ability to problem solve,
- Experience in a protective security capacity within Defence or a Defence industry and;
- Experience in the management of classified material and information - desirable
- Diploma in Security Risk Management - desirable
- The ability to liaise with various Defence associated agencies, as well as providing instructional information to internal employees and contractors,
- Advanced competency in the use of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel,
- A current NV1 Security Clearance or the ability to obtain this clearance.
