**About the business and role**

Plascare is the national distributor for Sharpsafe disposable sharps containers and VEXO bird deterrent solutions, a family owned and operated business for over 35 years. We’re seeking a proficient key account manager to service existing customers and develop new business across both business units.

You will be tasked with delivering profitable growth through the business and strengthen existing business relationships of different levels. You will also be responsible for developing communications to engage with customers to help them find the right solutions and support our marketing team in lead generation.

**Duties and responsibilities**:

- Communicating with clients to understand their needs and explain product value.
- Building relationships with clients based on trust and respect.
- Collaborating with your team to best service your clients.
- Understand customer behaviour and changing market trends.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of company products.
- Resolving complaints and preventing additional issues by improving processes.
- Acting as an internal client advocate with a focus on improving the buyer experience.
- Supporting or executing outbound sales campaigns.
- A background in and understanding of business development, account management or general sales with fine-tuned relationship-building and negotiation skills.
- Highly developed communication and presentation skills. Strong collaboration skills and the ability to find common ground with people from differing perspectives and propose a workable solution.
- A technical mindset - you don't need to be an expert, but a logical or technical mindset is important.
- Experience in health care sector is well-regarded.
- Proactive, resourceful and resilient.
- Ability to work autonomously and to have a disciplined organised structure to your working day.
- A competitive yet collaborative team player - the desire to succeed for your customer and Plascare.

**Salary**: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Performance bonus

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Heidelberg West, VIC 3081: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Bachelor Degree (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Relationship management: 2 years (required)
