**About the team**:
We are Australia’s international trade remedies authority - the Anti-Dumping Commission (the commission). The commission is responsible for undertaking investigations into allegations of unfair trade practices involving goods entering Australia and administering Australia’s anti-dumping legislation. These investigations seek to deliver a level playing field for industry. Professionalism, excellence and independence underpins the commission’s world-class reputation. The commission is structured in two branches, each headed by a Deputy Commissioner (SES Band 1).

**What you will do**:
This role has two key and equally principal functions: 1) Branch Administrative Coordinator and 2) Executive Assistant, providing high level executive and administrative support to the Deputy Commissioner Investigations at the Anti-Dumping Commission.

Responsibilities of the role may include:
Branch administrative coordination
- as a secretariat for the commission’s investigation related decision-making bodies (e.g. coordination of papers, agendas, minutes, and directly liaising with branch directors and staff)
- coordination of branch reporting mechanisms to support briefing of the deputy commissioner briefing and their decision-making
- tracking branch related action items, which includes liaising with branch directors and staff

Executive assistance
- manage deadlines and clearances, on behalf of the deputy commissioners, using judgement to prioritise and ensure timely adherence to timeframes;
- build and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholder on behalf of the deputy commissioners in line with the APS Values and Code of Conduct and relevant departmental policies;
- work collaboratively across the executive team and the commission to support the Deputy Commissioner as required; and
- coordinate and prepare correspondence and briefing material as required.
- build technical expertise that contributes to business unit outcomes;
- mentor and support junior employees to achieve goals by providing guidance and quality assurance;
- maintain a well-developed understanding of relevant legislation and policy frameworks;
- perform objective and systematic research and analysis to obtain accurate conclusions based on evidence;
- writing briefings for the Deputy Commissioner;
- network across the department and APS, including having a high level of communication with Senior Executives and the Executive Support Team.
