**Job Overview**

This position is responsible for managing and ensuring the security, integrity, accessibility and confidentiality of information and records within the VI. The Information and Records Manager is responsible for developing and implementing strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including the Victorian Protective Data Security Standards (VPDSS) and Public Record Office Victoria (PROV) Standards. The position is also responsible for reviewing all current information, data and records holdings (no matter the format or classification) to maintain the VI's Information Asset Register, including advising staff on classification and management of information assets, from creation to disposal.

The position works closely with ICT and operational colleagues, management, and external stakeholders to identify vulnerabilities, assess risks, and implement appropriate measures for the management of the VI's records. This involves handling information classified up to SECRET level and held in a secure environment. For more information regarding this position, please see the attached position description.
