About the RoleThe Records and Information Team is responsible for providing operational support to the organisation in the management of Council's records management functions. These include document registration, access and retrieval of corporate information, and supporting end users in the optimal use of Council's Document Management System.
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Data Management Specialist - Records and Information to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing duties associated with the management of incoming and outgoing correspondence, scanning and registration of information into Council's Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS), access and retrieval of records, mail room duties, and supporting best practice approaches to the use of Council's EDRMS.
Key Skills and Qualifications- A Certificate IV in Records Management or demonstrated industry knowledge and experience.
- Knowledge of the State Records Act NSW 1998, retention disposal authorities, both functional and general.
- Demonstrated commitment to provide professional, proactive, and quality customer service.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrated experience with Electronic Document and Records Management Systems.
- Experience in facilitating and delivering training to small groups and individuals.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to relate to workers at all levels across the organisation.
- Fast and accurate data entry keyboard skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- A permanent full-time position, working 35 hours per week.
- A salary range from $70,521.12 to $76,334.96 per annum, plus 11.5% Super.
