**A bit about the role**
The Business Operations and Project Support Officer is pivotal in the operational initiatives, planning and success of the City Life Directorate.
You will manage business and administrative operations for the directorate whilst providing guidance, support and leadership to other administrative staff across the directorate to ensure resource sharing, consistency of standards.
In collaboration with the City Life Innovation and Continuous Improvement Officer, this position will support the development and improvement of Directorate systems and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
**What you’ll deliver**
- Effective and confidential administrative support to enable the delivery of services and programs
- Project management to enable improved efficiency of administrative systems and initiatives
- The development of collaborative working relationships to leverage successful outcomes.
**What you’ll bring**
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to build positive relationships to gain support from colleagues and compose correspondence across Council
- High level confidentiality and problem-solving skills to address sensitive staff and organisational issues and diffuse difficult situations
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Business Administration or lesser formal qualification with relevant work skills and experience in a similar role
- A continuous improvement mindset with a positive, proactive, and flexible attitude
