John Hunter Hospital is undergoing one of the largest health infrastructure redevelopments in NSW, transforming into a world-class tertiary referral centre and research hub. As part of this exciting growth, we are seeking an experienced and visionary Nurse Manager to lead our Demand Management and Logistics Service.

About The Role

This key leadership position plays a pivotal role in improving patient flow, care processes, and system performance across John Hunter Hospital. You will lead a dedicated team in delivering initiatives that:

  • Enhance patient experience and outcomes
  • Improve access to care through efficient flow and discharge planning
  • Support alternative care models and innovative service delivery
  • Embed sustainable improvement aligned with our hospital's strategic goals

As a senior leader, you will coach and mentor staff, drive redesign and improvement projects, and ensure our services meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

About You

You are a dynamic leader with a strong background in nursing management, project delivery, and clinical redesign. You thrive in complex, high-volume environments and can balance strategic vision with operational excellence. You'll bring strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills to influence change and deliver measurable results.
