Job Title: Logistics Operations Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced logistics professional to manage site operations in the transportation of company products. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, restructuring and developing transport operations to meet agreed financial targets.

  • Develop and implement efficient transport operations to improve flexibility and productivity within this division.
  • Ensure effective use of transport fleet through routine maintenance and servicing.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage employee attendance and introduce strategies for management of unplanned absences.
- Develop and maintain a process for reduction of customer returns due to transportation faults.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal legislation and company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

- 5-10 years' experience in transportation product logistics.
- Good leadership and communication skills.
- Proven track record on running a transport operation including personnel, cost reductions, fleet efficiency and downtime reduction.

Typical Qualifications and Experience:

- A proven track record in effective people management including customer service and customer liaisons.

- Good communication skills to all levels & cultures of the business
- Effective time management skills
- Good planning with problem solving skills
- Computer literacy in Myob, Word and Excel would be beneficial.
