This is a permanent part-time (0.6FTE) position commencing Term 1, 2026. We're excited to invite an empathetic, proactive and skilled individual to join our Student Services team as a Student Wellbeing & Support Officer, championing the social-emotional development and learning outcomes of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Elevate student wellbeing, resilience and pro-social behaviours through tailored, evidence-informed interventions, spanning individual, small group and whole-school strategies.
  • Enhance learning outcomes by establishing and coordinating support networks with staff, families and community agencies.
  • Assist staff in identifying and addressing student needs, especially for those requiring additional support.
  • Collaborate with service providers to plan and deliver preventative and engagement-focused programs for students at risk.
  • Participate in case conferences within the school and with external agencies, offering informed consultancy and guidance.
  • Co-develop targeted engagement or intervention strategies in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Manage administrative duties including data entry, report writing, minute-taking and maintaining comprehensive student case records.

Eligibility

To work with us, you must:

  • be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.

  • consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.

  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish effective working relationships with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated negotiation, mediation and conflict resolutions skills with relevant experience working with students who require support.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team without direct supervision.
  • Demonstrated effective planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities within timelines.
