Teaching Leadership Opportunity

A full-time teaching leadership position is available at a Year 7 to 12 college in the Peel region, focused on inclusive education and student wellbeing. The role involves leading wellbeing initiatives and reward programs that celebrate student success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead wellbeing initiatives and develop strategies to support students' social, emotional, and academic challenges.
  • Apply restorative practices to resolve conflict and strengthen relationships between students, staff, and families.
  • Coordinate key school events and contribute to the smooth daily operation of Student Services.
  • Guide students through important transitions and foster a safe and supportive environment.
  • Engage every student in learning opportunities to help them achieve their personal best and develop life skills.
Requirements
  • Strong leadership, communication, and behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with students, staff, and families.
  • Genuine interest in supporting students' social, emotional, and academic wellbeing.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed practice.
  • Resilience, empathy, and the ability to manage competing priorities calmly.
  • Collaborative approach to problem-solving and creativity to design innovative solutions for safe, supportive, and positive school communities.

Eligibility
  • Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with work rights for the term of the appointment.

  • Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number from the Department of Education's Screening Unit before starting.
