Teacher - Year Coordinator - Student Services is a permanent full-time position at the Department of Education, Western Australia, commencing Term 4, 2025.

Role and Responsibilities- Lead wellbeing initiatives and reward programs that celebrate student success.
- Support students in navigating social, emotional, behavioural, and academic challenges.
- Apply restorative practices to resolve conflict and strengthen relationships.
- Coordinate key school events and contribute to the smooth daily operation of Student Services.
- Guide students through important transitions, fostering a safe and supportive environment.
- Engage every student in learning opportunities to help them achieve their personal best and develop life skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and behaviour management skills.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with students, staff, and families.
- Genuine interest in supporting students' social, emotional, and academic wellbeing.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed practice.
- Resilience, empathy, and the ability to manage competing priorities calmly.
- Collaborative approach to problem-solving and the creativity to design innovative solutions for safe, supportive, and positive school communities.
- Professionals with student services experience and/or teachers seeking to develop leadership in this area.
- Includes a small teaching load.

Eligibility- Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with work rights for the term of the appointment.

- Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number from the Department of Education's Screening Unit before starting.
