Are you looking for an opportunity to use your project coordination skills in a consulting environment? We are seeking an early career professional to join our team. The Proximity Consulting group provides astute advice and solutions on Commonwealth government programs and projects. You will support the team to achieve key outcomes for our government clients and work across many projects, gaining exposure to diverse work and collaborating with our advisors and experts.

Responsibilities
  • Develop project management skills on complex government projects
  • Undertake project assurance, risk management, governance and develop business cases
  • Manage project budgets, timelines and outcomes
  • Coordinate tasks, schedules, resources, and activities to drive project success
  • Assist with stakeholder consultations: question development, synthesising feedback, developing and analysing survey data
  • Undertake document reviews and literature scans, discovery, assessments
  • Coordinate meetings, summarise actions, track progress/issues/risks, and produce status reports
  • Conduct desktop research to support advice, reports, or presentations
  • Draft client documents: reports, briefings, policies, and procedures
Qualifications
  • 2+ years' project coordination experience gained within a corporate or government environment
  • High level analysis and information synthesising skills
  • Strong verbal, written, and visual presentation skills
  • Coordination skills to keep project tasks on track
  • Desire to work closely with clients, being adaptable and responsive
  • You may hold a project management qualification or have a strong desire to achieve one
  • Have an Australian Government Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain one)
