Support high-value government ICT programs with expert contract advice

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Advisor to provide advice, support, and leadership in contract negotiations for major government ICT programs. This role is pivotal in ensuring agreements deliver value-for-money outcomes while balancing risk, compliance, and program objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support contract negotiations with vendors and delivery partners.
  • Provide expert advice on commercial terms, procurement strategies, and risk allocation.
  • Review, draft, and refine contract documentation in line with Commonwealth standards.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to ensure commercial arrangements support program delivery.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and improved supplier performance.
  • Support reporting, governance, and assurance processes for contractual compliance.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Demonstrated experience in contract negotiations and commercial advisory within complex programs.
  • Strong knowledge of Commonwealth procurement frameworks and contracting processes.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to balance commercial outcomes with program delivery priorities.
  • Experience in ICT projects or federal government procurement (highly desirable).
