About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Support Coordinator to work for the Coordinated Response Service (CRS) team for the Family Services department. This role provides crucial support in the form of crisis interventions to families experiencing high risk family and domestic violence, and is responsible for undertaking assessments and providing interventions in collaboration with police and child protection officers.

This is a permanent full time position, working 38 hours per week between Monday to Friday. This role is located at the Armadale Police Station.

What we're looking for

The successful applicant will be required to meet the following criteria:

  • Relevant qualifications in a related discipline at degree, diploma, or certificate level/less formal qualification with work or lived experience to perform sufficiently at this level/or demonstrated work experience at the level.
  • Personal goal planning skills that contribute to the achievement of client goals in line with the Model of Care.
  • Skills in reflective practice and highly developed report writing using analytical reasoning.
  • Ability to support, mentor and work alongside supporting staff members.
  • Advanced computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office and client reporting system.
  • Ability to engage and maintain professional relationships with clients, and their wider formal and informal supports, with multiple needs and challenges.
  • Demonstrated understanding of complex issues facing people who experience chaotic life circumstances such as homelessness, AOD use, family/domestic violence and mental health issues.
  • Willingness and ability to work within and contribute to the vision, mission, core values and the guiding principles of the organisation.
  • Knowledge and understanding of diversity, gender and social inclusion, particularly Aboriginal culture.

  • A salary aligned with Level 4 of the Ruah Enterprise Agreement (and the SCHADS Award), starting at $88,372.
