Overview

TA Team Leader, Volume role at Auto & General Australia. The Talent Acquisition Team Leader leads a team of volume recruiters, drives recruitment operations, and partners with HR and hiring managers to ensure a positive recruitment experience.

Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: lead, motivate, and mentor a team of recruiters to achieve hiring goals; provide coaching, training, and performance feedback; foster a collaborative, high-performance culture.
  • Process Improvement: identify opportunities to streamline recruitment processes and continuously refine sourcing, screening, and interviewing techniques (UKG, Criteria, and other systems).
  • Data & Reporting: analyse recruitment data and metrics to assess performance and effectiveness; provide regular updates to hiring managers on status of open roles and frontline metrics.
  • Stakeholder Management: collaborate with HR business partners, hiring managers, L&D, WFP and other stakeholders to align recruitment efforts with organisational needs; manage relationships with external partners and agencies.
  • TA Strategy & Delivery: oversee full recruitment cycle from job posting to offer acceptance; develop strategies to attract top talent across levels; ensure a consistent and positive candidate experience.
Qualifications
  • Ability to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders using a diplomatic and consultative approach.
  • Leadership capability is essential (even if not direct; e.g., leading projects or process improvements).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to work with senior leaders to deliver recruitment objectives.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess and improve recruitment processes.
